the Big Butt Chair by Linda

If you do not know my bloggy friend
Linda at Lime and the Coconut
you MUST go visit her here. She is a woman of great talent, loves vibrant color and calls the east coast of Florida home.

She recently took us on a journey of her fabulous flea market find which she calls her

BIG BUTT chair.

She is a great story teller and I couldn't wait to read the next chapter of her tale.

She has vision and talent and got to work.

She pulled it together all by herself. Well done Girlfriend!

Linda...you INSPIRED ME to get off my

BIG BUTT

and get to work on a project of my own which I have been procrastinating.

SIX chairs, French circa 1970

hand me downs from grandma... grateful
but ready to move them (and the table and hutch) out
and find something more in my own style.

Not too hard right?

Just unscrew the seats and rip off the fabric.

Ya right...fabric stapled, welting stapled, backing stapled.

had to get my foot into it...and then take flat head screw driver and pliers to get ALL the
staples out.

I about jammed the screwdriver through my wrist at one time...oy.

At least the former upholsterer had decent wrapping over the foam. Woohoo!

Still deciding on fabric...will keep you posted!

Sorry for the underscores on the text...sometimes blogger just doesn't like it when cutting and pasting happens....whatever.
