In Petosky, MI!
Since this is a wedding weekend, I thought these macaroon's were festive.
It is gorgeous here...sunshine and about 50 degrees...perfect!

Hitting The Road
going to Petosky, Michigan
Have you ever been?
It sits on Little Traverse Bay
which is part of Lake Michigan.
Gorgeous!
I've never been to this part of the U. S.
I hear downtown is a fun place.
Get to see my son and DIL and her family.
Her big sis is getting hitched!
The high for the weekend is 48 degrees!
I better enjoy because the 'hot' in 'Hotlanta' is coming soon.

Project Monday
MD bedroom projects had me looking for tables that we can use to flank the bedside in one room.
If we can't find something in the home we go out looking. This time we scored in the home.
Left over Annie Sloan Paris Gray paint I used on my sideboard last year.
I didn't get the lid back on well so the paint got thick, a wee bit of water does the trick!
I've never painted with latex, thought I might try. This is some left over SW 7650 Ellie Gray I had used on a different project. Funny that it's almost the same as the Paris Gray.
I removed this handle to the tea cart.
I love using this outdoor tablecloth as my drop cloth. You'll see it in most of my project posts. It works so much better than other plastic, it has a cloth bottom and doesn't tear.
I thought I might try a two-toned application...not sure.
Annie Sloan Paris Gray and Old White. I used the latex on the tea cart and Sloan on the table (remember Bombay?).
I also did some distressing....not sure about this either.
I'm not finished, will look some more tomorrow. May end up painting white and glazing and finishing off with clear wax. Will let ya know.
I did some textile shopping while in the neighborhood of Lewis and Sheron and Forsyth Fabrics here in ATL the other day. Still need to get to the ADAC.

Foodie Friday
Carbo loading!
I must be in gooey carb deficit,
I think I am craving this whole stack. Wonder if I could actually make it through?
Must be something about blueberries too.
They are good for you....hehe.
How about these Breakfast Jam Straws? Yum.
Bet 'cha can't eat just one!

Bedroom Inspiration
Moore Designs has two new bedroom projects.
Since pictures speak 1000 words...
...the fun for me is gathering different design styles
and showing options.
Don't you just love monogramming?
After that has been established I present different scenarios of paint and fabric colors/patterns and textures and textiles.
Clean and white...love this too.
There are times that one needs to be pushed from her comfort box and 'just trust me'!
Other's like what I do and give free reign. :)
When it comes to color and textiles
I am the preverbal kid in the candy store.
How about a stencil instead of wallpaper?
I have a serious addiction to tufting, so I think my clients should like it too! :)
Soft linen bedding, THE best.
There's something about nail heads!
Slight hint of color or...
bold?
How about you?
Do you dare to mix and match this way?

Foodie Friday
It's Saturday morning...a wee bit late but I thought some breakfast offering might be good!
I start every morning with steel cut oats not only because I like them but it's a great way to start the day with healthy goodness.
But gosh darn, sometimes a girl loves a sweet treat!
I LOVE anything that has cinnamon and sugar.
Oh gosh, I'm drooling already.
Ok...maybe you prefer something savory.
Warm cheesy gooey yummy.
Lemon and blueberries...they're both good fer ya!
So what's for breakfast at your house?

Outdoor Livin'
Patios!
The weather over the weekend was just perfect.
We ate dinner outside enjoying a lovely breeze.
I had the citronella candles lit, if there's a 'skeeter' around he surely finds Mr. MD!
So much I love about this...
stone patio, fireplace and the pergola.
Do you have an outdoor fireplace?
Once all the newly planted plants fill in,
our garden will be lovely.
No outdoor fireplace?...how about one of these? Yes please!
I hope you are able to get out and enjoy the weather especially if you are in the south, before the humidity comes. I know you Californian's have this weather all the time. Lucky!

Foodie Friday
What happened to the week?
Got a couple of bike rides in - yay, so I guess I was ridin' instead of writin'!
Here's what's for dinner, you will love it.
Bobby Flay's
Sixteen-Spice-Rubbed Chicken Breast
with Black Pepper Vinegar Sauce and
Green Onion Slaw
The spices are amazing - had to go to my local Mexican grocer to find some of the peppers.
Lemon Mint Cucumber Water
Refreshing, along with the spicy chicken.
And to top it off...
Tyler Florence'
Baked Lime Pudding Cake
Citrus tempers spicy food don't you agree?
Don't forget to bring some flowers in.
If you don't have any of this burlap wide wrap, go get yo-self some. It's great for many things!
